*This is a 2 game minimum tournament. Games will have (4) 8 minute quarters with a running clock. The only exception is the last 2 minutes of 2nd and 4th quarter will be regulation. Otherwise, the clock will ONLY STOP for injuries and timeouts. Halftime will be 3 minutes.
*Championship games will be 8-minute regulation clock.
*We will follow NCAA Rules.
*2 Timeouts will be given per half
*Home team must provide chain gang
*OVERTIME will be a modified NCAA overtime. Each team will receive one timeout. Previous timeouts will not be applied. The ball will be placed on the 10-yard line. The offense will have 4 downs to score. If the game ends in overtime, the team with the most penetration will be decided the winner of the game.
*Extra Point’s kicks are worth 2 points. Run/pass attempts from 3-yard line is worth 1 point. Run/Pass attempt from 7-yard line is worth 2 Points.
*Teams aged 10 and under that are declaring to kick a Field Goal or declaring a Punt must inform the referee so he can inform the opposing team. THERE IS NO RUSH ON FIELD GOALS. For 10u, if punting you can also choose a walk off of 30 yards. If you choose this option, the farthest it can be placed is the 20-yard line of your opposing team. You cannot have a walk off punt once your team is inside the opposing team’s 45-yard line. You can punt just has to be live. For 12u and up, everything is live.
*NO KICK OFFS FOR THIS TOURNAMENT. Teams will start from the opposing 30-yard line to start the game, halftime and after scores.
*No more than 7 men on the Defensive line unless the ball is inside the 10-yard line. All men on the defensive line must be in a 3-point stance (inside tackles). If a player is standing up he must be 3 yards off the ball unless he is matched up with a receiver.
*24 Point Mercy Rule: If a team is up 24 points, the clock will continue to run. 12u and up, the leading team cannot kick onside kicks. Let’s keep the kids safe& have fun!!
*45 Point Rule: If the game is in the 2nd half and a team is up by 45 points, the game will be called unless the losing team wants to continue.
FLAG RULES AND GAME INFORMATION:
*Games will be 9 v 9.
*This is a two game minimum tournament.
*Home team must provide chain gang
*Two coaches from each team will be permitted on the field during the game. It is up to the head coach to determine who will be on the field at any given time during the game.
*There will be (2) 20-minute half’s. There will be 1 time out per half with a 40 second play clock.
*There will be NO pop out flags, velcro flags on belt only. Flags must also be a different color than the player’s shorts.
*The ball must pass through the Center’s legs to be deemed live play.
*The defense must be 1 yard off of the ball, and the LB must be 2 yards off of the ball.
*If a flag falls off of a player in motion or if the ball hits the ground the play is dead at the spot of the flag or ball.
*Offensive and defensive coaches must be at least 15 yards off the line of scrimmage. If any coach interferes with the play accidentally or intentionally, an automatic 15-yard penalty will be assessed to the team. Two penalties will result in a head coach ejection.
*The defensive coach must step out of the end zone on any plays inside the 20-yard line.
*There will be NO live kickoffs. Ball will be placed at the 25-yard line.
*Interceptions are live.
*30 yard walk off for punts.
*Coaches must STOP instructing the players once the players line up to the ball and the quarterback begins his cadence.
*No defensive player can be lined up over the ball.
SPECTATOR RULES AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
*****ABSOLUTELY NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS WILL BE BROUGHT INSIDE******
*No loitering and hanging out in the parking lot; this includes eating or drinking. No grills, smokers, or tailgating. IT IS NOT PERMITTED AT THIS VENUE. The City Police will be monitoring the parking lots and are asked to fine you if observed loitering or littering. PLEASE don’t test these police. PASS THIS INFORMATION ON TO PARENTS, not knowing isn’t a free pass.
*Water will NOT be supplied on sidelines. COACHES ONLY will be allowed one cooler per team and it must come in with the staff through the East entrance where the coaches and players will enter.
*EJECTIONS: If a player, spectator, or coach is ejected they will be ejected for the remainder of the game and possibly the remainder of the tournament, depending on the circumstances. The Tournament Director will decide if the person ejected can return.
*There is ZERO tolerance for any kind of altercations verbal or physical. This will have you removed from the event and charges filed on both parties. It could disqualify your teams depending on circumstances. Coaches, YOU are in charge of your sidelines. We will have 1 police office for each field. Let’s play football and leave anything else for a different day.
*NO player protests! Players will be certified by the tournament and we will not allow any protest or player challenge. The tournament will do its due diligence to ensure integrity of the event.
*IF a player not on your NSID for your age level is found on your sideline the game will be called and awarded to the opposing team. ONLY players of your team and age level playing at that time will be permitted on your sideline. Coaches and Team moms again, this is your job to make sure we don’t have to check a player’s eligibility to be on your sideline.
